Professor Dietmar Otte is Technical manager of Accident Research Unit at Medical University Hannover and lead a team of engineers and medical doctors in research and accident sampling. He studied vehicle engineering at Technical University Berlin and was educated in medical and biomechanics at Medical School Hannover. Now he is expert in Accident Analysis, Biomechanics and Accident Reconstruction. As a specialist in safety he is assistant to national and international standardization Committees.

Within the COST TU1101 group he is Vice-Chairman and chair also the working group 1 (accident and filed data).
